Education Specialist with nearly 5 years' experience tutoring!

Hi, my name's Camila! I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a Minor in Foreign Languages (including French, Italian, and Portuguese - I LOVE languages!) I'm currently undergoing my Master's of Education in Professional Counseling, and I used to work as an Educational Therapist at my university. One interesting fact about me? I'm obsessed with animals, especially dogs! One day, I hope to become an Animal-Assisted Therapist. Working as an Education Specialist, I provided private online instruction to individuals and student groups to improve academic performance in Biology, Psychology, Statistics, Spanish, and English. Furthermore, I collaborated with professors to determine student needs or assess progress, increasing in-class success rate by more than 50%. Now, as an online tutor, I not only teach all those subjects, but I also tutor in Reading, Elementary Math, and I'm certified to work with students who have ADHD. Additionally, I help work on study skills, note-taking skills I believe that everyone is unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. I will assist my students to express themselves and accept themselves for who they are, as well embrace the differences of others. Every classroom has its own unique community; my role as the teacher will be to assist each person in developing their own potential and learning styles. I will present a curriculum that will incorporate each different learning style, as well as make the content relevant to the students' lives. I will incorporate hands-on learning, cooperative learning, projects, and individual work that engage and activate students learning.
